Today I ordered another chat server. So within 2 weeks it should be in our rack at Peer1. The machine is sticking with our chat server standard. Intel Core Duo Quad Core 2.8 Ghz chips w/8GB memory. Hard drives are on the small size because they only need to run the O/S and chat server .

This is 3 new chat boxes including one very tough 1.8 Terabyte dbase machine. We will be buying a duplicate of the dbase box to give us true redundancy. The 6-8 chat servers will be on a cluster and as many as 3 could blow and nobody would notice. IN about 6 days we will be were we are hardware wise and I hope to be there server wise.

All this hardware running on 64 bit software should give us room for alot of chat users. Even now our 24 hour average is skyrocketing.Although a one day average of 25 00 is nice it's the 24 hours hour average that really gauges usage. Things are good but we still need the member support we have been getting. Unfortunately the more rooms near full tends to discourage people from supporting us. But I think I have a fair way around that. Have fun.
