We have been spiraling up in numbers every since we have been replacing old hardware. We have finally gotten to the point were we have enough chatservers running fast CPU's (Intel QuadCore) with 8GB of memory each. Effectively we have 12 CPU's where only four used to do the work. Added to that is an 8 fold increase in RAM.
So all this week the number of users online has been building. Yesterday, Wednesday, which historically has never been our hottest day we had 1996 users online. The 5 minute average appears on this page as 1985. With a new server for the Underground coming online today or by the weekend numbers should continue to rise.
