As always we would like to keep the jobs/work within the Chatropolis community. It makes things much easier than calling "Acme Inc." and explaining things to them. Here is a list of projects; HTML/GRAPHICS A small overhaul of headers and footers of Chatropolis. Also some image work revamping some graphics. Also looking to create several "Skins" for selectable look and feel inside chat rooms. WINDOWS/FIREFOX THEME CREATION We are looking to create a "Chatropolis" desktop theme with screen saver. Also a Firefox theme. BROWSER PLUG-IN Want to discuss/create a browser plug-in to allow users to easier get "Users online" info and keep track of friends on Chatropolis while they are on other sites. ADVERTISING/SEO We are planning a first ever advertising campaign combined with some SEO work. We are looking for individual web masters and companies familiar with Chatropolis to help us with a long term commitment. IDEAS As always we are looking for ideas and talented people to improve the overall chatting experience. No idea is too small if it positively effects users time here. On the other side no idea is too big. Chatropolis has been online for 15 years and we are in it for the long haul. We look forward to hearing from you.  May 06, 2008 Blank Chat Window/High Lagtime This has been a problem for users for years. You lay out a bundle for a satellite and then find you can no longer chat. Calling tech support for the morons that sold you it won't do much good. You get the standard answer "Nothing is wrong". Well they are fucking wrong. These companies and even some ISP's have you on broken proxy's or just don't care take if you hammer to the dish in frustration. Well here are some fixes. For Hughs you can go in your browsers advanced settings. For example in Firefox go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>ADVANCED>NETWORK>CONNECTION SETTINGS And put this is manual settings http proxy 69.19.14.10 Port 3128. That works just fine. If for any reason you get a white screen or there seems to be huge lag time. It's also a proxy that is so stupid it can't stream a html file. So you just go into your browsers settings and configure your proxy for direct connection to the Internet. Webshields from McAffe and AVG(Paid Version)seem to slow things down to a crawl or you get a blank chat window. Just disable the webshield
