Swiches..Time to upgrade?
The last switch I purchased was a Cisco 2424 seris. A beautiful 24 port 10/100 switch with a lot of flexibility for the time. Actually it was way more than I needed.
Now we are in the world of Gigabit wireless so it's probably time to upgrade our gigabit wire connections. I say it's time because they seem to be dirt cheap.

How to disable Internet Explorer
If you want a real scare go to google.com and search for IE exploits, IE problems, IE security,Mcirosoft Spys IE, and the list goes on and on.
The problem is you really can't delete IE without screwing the pooch on your Microsoft operating system.It is so tightly woven into microsoft products that removing it could cause a bunch of problems which is another article altogether.

Is Adbright circling the drain
Tech tips cover all aspects of technology and one of the Technologies currently on the rocks is Ad Networks. Your sign up with them and you put some html on your site....boom instant cash. That was the way for a while at least. Like any sector of the Internet certain Industry's shake out. In this case it's the pay-per-click/pay-per-view ad networks. The Demise of MSN Groups
In Feb 2009 MSN groups will displace most webTV users and millions that enjoy them. I personally am not one but I see it as an opportunity for Forum and Chat sites everywhere.
While Forum posters and Chatters are very different breeds. Forum posters like to see their post up in lights while chatters are interested in real time conversation. Celebrity for Nothing
Sarah Palin seems to be the medias latest creation since Paris Hilton. Being famous for nothing. Although Ms Palin is the Governor of Alaska and former beauty queen she is basically a young (If that's possible) Paris Hilton. Famous for being famous. I find Jessie Ventura to be far more interesting Politically and since I met Arnold in the late 70's he much funnier that Paris Hilton who is just dumb as a stump and will piss through her family fortune if it is at all possible.
