Glock was the first to comeout with Polycarbonate handguns. We all looked on with amazement at the squared of German Sheik weapon. But that day was 10 years ago and Glock has some serious competition.

The S&W MP (Military and Police) 40 is being called the Glock killer. Many in law enforcement are switching for many reasons. Most is Glock has ridden thier initial success into the ground and now has Smith and Wesson looking down at them.

The MP40 comes in a nice case with 2 mags and 3 grips so it will fit your wife or make an excellent duty piece. The MP40 also comes in a "C" compact that smells of backup. Don't expect much in the way of safety. A new version of the Glock like trigger safety is used. IT does have one great feature for weapon retention. Drop the mag using the rather large ambidextrous button and the round in the pipe will not fire. Bang it pull the trigger do what you like it's now not a firearm.

Running Cor Bon 140 Grn DPX Ammo this is a man killer. My one complaint is the wide rear sites. After talking to friends in Law Enforcement this is common and even welcome. Being a Former Marine with battalions yelling "One shot one kill" it just is a failing point with me. The rear site is so wide it would be close to useless in real combat. But I'm sure replpacement sites are available and really 2 hours at a machinist should yield a combat ready weapon. Pack the double stacked clips with Corbon DPX or your version of choice and your prepared for just about anything.

This spells the end of Glock purchases on name only. A quick look at reviews will push real buyers towards the MP40. 5 stars *****
