January 17, 2009 Laser sites/S&W MP40 Crimson Tide Vs Viridian

Lately I have been looking for a high quality laser site for my S&W MP40. ALthough there are many choices for me it boailed down to two choices. The first was "Crimson Trace" an in grip red laser. Lately reg lasers have been surpassed by performance by Viridians green laser but Crimson tide has some great advantages. The weapons grip is replaced with a new one equipped with a red laser embedded in it. The natural drawing of the firearm wil turn on the laser sight. ANother thing is no crazy holsters for picatinnay rail mounted lasers. They claim it is pre sighted out of the box which is hard to believe. They claim sighted to 50 feet which is spectacular since the average firefight is 7-8 feet in distance.

The unit comes with adjustment tools and in the video the laser looked very crisp. It retails for $299.00.

 December 10, 2008 Smith & Wesson MP 40

Glock was the first to comeout with Polycarbonate handguns. We all looked on with amazement at the squared of German Sheik weapon. But that day was 10 years ago and Glock has some serious competition.

The S&W MP (Military and Police) 40 is being called the Glock killer. Many in law enforcement are switching for many reasons. Most is Glock has ridden thier initial success into the ground and now has Smith and Wesson looking down at them.

The MP40 comes in a nice case with 2 mags and 3 grips so it will fit your wife
