We try to run Chatropolis as loosely as possible but there are certain things that are not allowed at any time. This is for the safety of the site and the users here. Anyone caught doing any of the following will be booted from the site immediately. Check the staff and moderator page for the list of people that can boot you. Illegal Conduct/Civil Rights

Illegal Conduct As a matter of policy Chatropolis/Interfun Corporation does not monitor private conversations. We do however keep logs of every keystroke typed into our chat server. If we become aware of Illegal activity we will review the logs and take appropriate action. In short if you are planing on killing someone and discuss it on Chatropolis we will notify the proper authorities. It is your responsibility to know the law so just be nice. Child Predators Chatropolis has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on the abuse of children. This includes the RT or fantasy aspect of child abuse. So if your a sick mind that's looking for children or want to fantasize about sex with children or post images of children engaged in sex or nude  get ready to have the Police show up at your door.  How To Report Kiddie Porn You need to send the room name, timestamp, screen name, and URL to image posted. Send this as soon as possible to The Management. There is no need for a Moderator to be present. We will not take 2nd person reports or he said she said reports. We are not a public park or the front steps of the Federal building.Although we are advocates of Free Speech we do determine what is suitable and what is not here. On occasion we get rage mail from users that think anything that comes out of their mouth has to be tolerated or we are violating their Civil Rights. If you are one of these I suggest you actually read the US Constitution, contact a lawyer or go into your local Mc Donalds and announce to the customers that the special sauce is really French dressing mixed with dog shit. Any of these will result in a lesson in Civil Rights.

SpamVertising & Legal Issues

Posting of advertisements of any kind is not permitted on Chatropolis. We consider this "Theft of Advertising Space" as well as a disruption to our chat rooms. The posting of these types of advertisements will be assessed at 15.00 USD per post and you will be billed. Failure to pay will result in Legal action. There are some types of sites that are exempt from this but you still get written permission for Chatropolis/Interfun. Email  mludwick@interfun.net to see if your site qualifies. Only free non-commercialback door type sites apply. SImply adding a back door to a commercial site may not qualify. Email first just to be sure.

Above all, remember that chat is supposed to be fun for all, please respect others opinions, and differences. Q:Can Chatropolis be held liable for defamatory of libelous statements made by others in chat rooms or on the message boards? Answer: No. Under 47 U.S.C. sec. 230(c)(1): "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider." This provision has been uniformly interpreted by the Courts to provide complete protection against defamation or libel claims made against an ISP, message board or chat room where the statements are made by third parties. Note that this immunity does not extend to claims made under intellectual property laws.
