Chatropolis is an Adult Chat Site. We are required at all times to abide by the laws of the United States. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with those laws and to monitor for any of our users who may break them.

We have put in place the mechanisms needed to enforce these laws and Chatropolis policies. The following rules and policies will be strictly enforced via our Moderator Staff. At any time, a Moderator may Warn, Gag, Boot, or Ban a user. Chat logs are kept for several years if necessary for any criminal investigations that are brought to our attention by such legal authorities.

Infractions of the following Rules will result in Warning, Booting , Banning and Legal Action
(in any order to be determined by our Moderator Staff)

• Underage Images *: Users who post Images that are, or appear, to be of people who are underage will be Booted without warning. This rules covers all images of people who appear to be underage, Hentai, animations and images of people clothed and unclothed.
• Underage Chat Names *: Users who use Chat Names which may be construed as underage (younger than 18 years of age) will be warned diplomatically about this three times and then Booted
• Zoophilia, aka, Bestiality *: Users who post images or use names endorsing Zoophilia will be warned to change or be booted.
• Incest and Rape **: Users who use names endorsing incest and rape will be warned to change or be booted. Users will find that the word incest has been filtered and no posts will go through using this word so all URLs with such a word will not post to further enforce this rule.
• Child pornography ***: The dissemination of such acts, whether in chat, roleplay, via images, or anything representing children in sexual acts will not be tolerated and is an automatic bootable offense. Also, logs are monitored constantly to find sources for child pornography and IP addresses and sites are banned as they are found. We reserve the right to filter, limit, and ban content from users as we see fit.
• Images of Illegal Acts *: Users who post any act of extreme violence, rape, kidnapping, hypnotism and/or incest or any other acts which are Illegal in the USA or Internationally will be Booted without warning.
• Solicitation ***: Users that go to chat rooms to solicit their business, products, or advertise for profit or commercial gain will not be tolerated and Booted immediately.
• Revealing Another User’s Personal Details: A user who reveals another user’s personal details will be Booted without warning.
• Harassment, Bullying, or Stalking ***: Public or private harrassment will not be tolerated. Freedom of speech will be upheld and we are all adults to say what we wish. However, when it results at the consistent harrassment of a fellow chatter or chatters then this is an offense that will not be tolerated. I will not be quick to judge and I will dig around in chat logs if necessary to verify both sides of the story. This is a tiring act and I will not be happy if told one thing and reveal another.
• Impersonation or "Imping" *** - the act of stealing and impersonating someone else's chat identity - for any reason will not be tolerated. Research will be done through verification of original identity, time, and place as wel as digging through chat logs and the violator will be notified of their violation then dealt with accordingly.
• Serious Offenses *** : Users who appear to be soliciting or trafficking in illegal Drugs, or engaging in an act of Terrorism will be booted without warning and reported to the appropriate authorities.
• Hacking or Sabotage ***: Users who attempt, for any reason, to change the operation of the site will be booted without warning. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to deny service to other users.
• Civil Entrapment ***: A fellow chatter setting up another chatter into committing a violation so they may be caught in the act and then reported for prosecution - will be ignored. I will have to dig through chat logs and if I find unethical activities in the process of catching someone in the act, then I will not prosecute but I will not act on the report either. In other words, don't be the Chatropolis police and spend your time trying to snare violators be leading them on and then prosecuting. Though not against the rules, I find it unethical and shady and will just ignore the attempt.
• Moderator Abuse ***: Moderators at Chatro are volunteers who pay for their membership here; please assist them if you are asked to. Users who use abusive or aggressive language towards them will be required to leave.

* - There is one exception. There is a section called The Badlands, where moderation is not performed and though we do not condone and frown upon such activity, we will not boot from rooms in this section.
** - Roleplay is allowed only and only in a private setting. Screen names implying these activities will still be booted so be smart about it.
*** - There are no exceptions to this rule.

First offense - Advisement of your issue and a 24 hour boot from ALL rooms to which you reside.

Second offense - 24 hour boot from ALL rooms to which you reside with no further warning.

Third offense at any time - Constitutes a behavior pattern and will result in a ban of IP address or IP address range. This is a permanent Ban from all of Chatropolis.
